Male pinned under his car in the Autozone parking lot
Tue. Oct 15th 2019

At 7:45pm the Essex Junction Fire Department along with Essex Police, an Essex Rescue Paramedic and Colchester Rescue responded to a male pinned under his car in the Autozone parking lot.

Thankfully a customer in the parking lot heard calls for help and rallied other bystanders to lift the car and remove the pinned male. We want to thank those rescuers. Too often we hear stories of bystanders not stepping up to help others in need, it is great to know that there were multiple people who came to a stranger's aid last night.

EMTs from EJFD as well as a Paramedic with Essex Rescue worked to stabilize the male who had severe injuries. The male patient was transported by Colchester Rescue to the University of Vermont Medical Center. We do not have an update on the male victim at this time.

Essex Police are investigating the circumstances and all questions should be directed to them.
