Crews Extinguish Fully Involved Shed Fire on Aspen Drive

At 19:28 hrs, the Essex Junction and Essex Town Fire Departments were dispatched to 6 Aspen Drive in the Village for a reported shed fire.

Assistant Chief Weed arrived in Utility 61 and updated incoming apparatus that there was significant fire showing from the shed in the back yard of 6 Aspen Drive. Engine 5 arrived on scene a few moments later, quickly deploying the 1 3/4" cross lay attack line and attacking the fire. Upon the arrival of Ladder 3 and 15 Engine 2, the bulk of the fire had been knocked down, and the remaining crew members were used for overhaul of the structure.

Luckily there was no extension to the home or any other nearby areas. The shed is deemed a complete loss, and thankfully there were no injuries reported. All apparatus were back in quarters and in service by 20:50 hrs.
