Engine 21 Responds to Barn Fire in Westford

At 04:49hrs on November 1st, the Essex Junction Fire Department was dispatched to standby at the station while firefighters from

Essex and Westford fought a barn fire on Old Stage Road in the town of Westford. Within 20 minutes, Engine 21 was requested to respond to the scene along with Fairfax Fire and Underhill-Jericho Fire to support the firefighting operations.

Engine 21 arrived with five personnel and was requested to perform firefighting and overhaul duties. Members operated on the scene for over two hours, working to extinguish the fire which was deeply seated in a pile of wood inside the barn.

All Essex Junction firefighters were back at the station by 07:25hrs.
