New Promotions

On behalf of Fire Chief Gaboriault, the Essex Junction Fire Department is proud to announce the following promotions, which went into effect recently:

Engineer Anthony (AJ) Leclair to the rank of Lieutenant

AJ has served with EJFD since 2017, rapidly becoming certified as an Engineer and proving to be a valuable driver/operator and firefighter. AJ serves on the training committee and has regularly administered fire and EMS training. AJ has always participated highly in training and responding to emergency calls with EJFD.

Paramedic Vincent (Vinnie) Westphal to the position of EMS Captain

Vinnie has served with EJFD since 2021, specifically as a very active member of the EJFD EMS Division. Vinnie has shown determination to ensure the EJFD EMS Division provides the best possible EMS first response service to the citizens and visitors of the City of Essex Junction. Vinnie was also critical in becoming an Advanced Life Support service.

We want to congratulate AJ and Vinnie on their new roles and look forward to continuing to work with them.
